Vatican museums skip the line ticket from vatican website

Due to compressed schedules, the only way many folks get into the Vatican Museums is to “skip the line.” We talk about “seeing” the Vatican in other posts: 20 tips on Visiting the Vatican
and Vatican – Should I pre-book . Yet in previous posts we never really talked about ticket purchasing. As there have been many, many questions on the process, we’ll try and address your concerns.
Your first step in pre-purchasing tickets: determine the dates you would like to visit the Vatican Museums. Remember, the Museums are closed on major holidays and Sundays (with the exception of the last Sunday of each month – when NO skip-the-line tickets are offered anyway). You can find the 2015 Vatican Museums calendar here.
Currently you can only book tickets through the Vatican Museums sixty days in advance. If you are within that window, then you can head to the online ticket window for the Vatican Museum. . Note, there are many “other” skip-the-line tour options, http://www.museivaticani.va/3_EN/pages/MV_Home.html but this is perhaps the least expensive “skip-the-line” entry option and is operated by the Vatican Museums.
